5 minute Aum meditation

Aum, also known as the maha (greatest) mantra, is the cosmic vibration of the universe. It is the sound that flows through our prana, giving life to breathe. It was first mentioned in the Upanishads (ancient Vedic scriptures). The mantra activates the entirety of our being, inviting peace and balance.

The 'aa' sound invokes the energy of manifestation and creation.

• The 'oo' sound sustains and preserves this creation.

• The 'mm' sound is the destructive vibration that moves manifestation back into the universe.

• The silence following aum is also a vital part of this movement between destruction, back to creation.

Aum, the maha-mantra, is a representation of the cycle of life.
