We open with karakia and mantra

Followed by a grounding yoga practice

I then share a few minutes of Indigenous Tantra & Yoga Philosophy and/or Trauma theory

We spend some time reflecting within the group

I’ll guide you through a grounding āsana sequence.

Followed by sensual movement practices, step-by-step, using principles of Dance & Movement therapy, verbal prompts, and visual demonstrations.

We’ll slow down with Shavasana (rest form)

Then finish by sharing reflections and closing mantra

FAQs

  • Ensure you have a private and quiet space where you can move comfortably without being disturbed. You may also like to let the people you are living with know to give you some space so you can show up wholeheartedly in these calls.

    Grab a yoga mat, or sheet/ towel, anything you feel comfortable practicing on. You may also like to keep some blocks nearby for support (however this is not necessary).

    Wear clothes that you can move in & layers that you can remove as you get warm. Trackies, leggings, gym gear & sensual outfits are all welcome!

    Keep a water bottle, a sweat towel, a journal & pen nearby just in case.

  • Nope! Definitely not. We won’t be focussing on choreographed routines, just free-flowing movement.

    Our movement is an expression of ourselves, meaning there is no right or wrong way to move or dance. This is a space for you to practice surrendering to your flow and listen to the whispers of your body.

  • That’s okay. Life is busy, and sometimes things get in the way.

    You will still have access to the weekly module content, practices, and workbooks.

    The live class will be recorded and uploaded to the online platform the next day.

  • There will be an in-person offering and a virtual offering running in 2024!

  • This course is open to women, femmes, and non-binary beings. I haven’t got enough experience working alongside men and want to be honest about this being outside of my scope of practice.

  • As a provisionally registered counselor, I am happy to hold space for you after our live calls or you are welcome to book a counseling session with me if you have found areas where you want to do some deeper work.
