Honouring your story, your body, and your ancestral wisdom.
Hearing your story is a privilege—and only you get to decide who receives that. If you’re carrying trauma, grief, or disconnection, know that you don’t have to hold it alone.
I offer anti-oppressive, trauma-informed counselling for people of colour seeking a space that honours the complexity of who you are—your body, your story, your cultural identity, and your lived experiences.
The parts of you that have been erased by society, or you’ve dimmed to fit in, are welcome here.
This is counselling grounded in nervous system science and ancestral healing, where you don’t have to explain yourself or fit into models that were never made for you.
My Approach
Our bodies hold not only our own stories, but those of our ancestors. I work at the meeting point of trauma-informed care, nervous system science, and embodied ancestral healing to support you in coming home to yourself.
Together, we can explore the patterns that keep you stuck in survival mode and begin to shape a life that honours who you are and how you move through the world.
I draw on:
• Somatic therapy & nervous system regulation
• Trauma-informed yoga, movement, and sound
• Indigenous models of wellbeing & pūrākau (story)
• Talk therapy rooted in pluralistic, anti-oppressive, person-centred care

Seeking to reconnect with your body, emotions, and breath after disconnection
Wanting to explore ancestral healing, movement, or sensuality as part of your journey
Longing for a space that centres your lived experience and honours your roots

Did you know, there are so many different ways that trauma can manifest physically?
Such as dis-regulated breathing, throat constriction, lack of presence, nervousness, GI Issues, sweaty palms, heart palpitations, flashbacks, anxiety, insomnia, heightened sensations and startle reflex, clenched muscles (neck, shoulders, jaw), sunken chest, heavy heart, aches and pains (headaches and backaches), migraines, loss of skin sensations, numbness, to name a few.
Rather than seeing you and your story in isolation, I see it through a holistic lens in relation to the people, systems, and experiences in your life.

I grew up being disconnected from my body, carrying wounds from childhood trauma, which meant that I struggled to trust not only others but also my bodily sensations and emotions
My lived experience
I experienced silencing, lived my life through secrets, and deeply feared the judgment of others, which was the breeding ground of toxic shame
I felt so much confusion around my Fiji-Indian-Kiwi identity, that I turned my back on my culture for a long time, before coming back to it as an adult
I struggled with my own internalized racism for years
I spent years experiencing depression and symptoms of cPTSD that had shaped the way I grew up
I was never taught how to navigate the world as a highly sensitive person, having to learn more about myself and strategies to thrive as an adult
By incorporating trauma-informed Yoga, Yoga & Tantra philosophy, Dance & Movement Therapy, Pūrākau, and somatic approaches to healing trauma, I am able to learn what matters most to you.
My passion for this work stems from needing representation for our people in these spaces that take into account the effects of immigration, colonisation, oppression, systemic inequities, and trauma on our wellbeing.
